@talat.app
Accurate transcription that runs entirely on your own computer, so nothing is ever uploaded to the cloud. Take notes in your meetings, dictate into any app, or write up recordings you already have.
talat v1.5.0 is up! We've reorganised the navigation, revamped our refer-a-friend scheme (within the app), made it so that you can (finally!) delete tags, added editable frontmatter YAML templates for the obsidian users, and a bunch of calendar improvements. talat.app

talat v1.3.0 is here already. We've missed a coupe of updates here, but there have been some great new features recently. One notable recent feature is being able to use Claude Code or Codex as your summarisation agent and dictation clean-up agent talat.app

It was an absolute pleasure talking with Ivan recently. You can read more about our origin story and lots of other voice AI stories over on his newsletter 👇
Granola locked users' meeting transcripts. So a web dev with 20 years of experience built @talat.app. The app has a one-time fee of $49, uses offline models for transcription, and allows MCP connections. weekinvoiceai.substack.com/p/how-talat-built-a-local-first-stack
v0.11.1 is out! Lots of calendar-related fixes and quality of life improvements - no major new features. Download at talat.app
v0.11.0 is out, and since we were too busy to announce v0.10.0 properly, let's do that too: hellooo new design! There's too much to cover in a single post, but you can read the details over at talat.app/changelog, and take a look at some of the updated screenshots below 👇
Two features in v0.9.0 you might not have spotted: 1. Split a recording into two meetings, for when two conversations got captured as one 2. Merge two into one, for when a meeting got split (you stopped and restarted, or auto-stop fired too eagerly)
v0.9.0 is out! If you've already got talat installed you'll get the update shortly. New users can grab it from talat.app Full changelog below:
We're into a solid lunchtime lead, but every vote helps a lot if you've got two seconds to spare: fazier.com/launches/talat
We've listed @talat.app on fazier this morning - it's nosed ahead into an early lead but we could really use your support by way of an upvote as the day rolls on - registration only takes a second and it would help us out a lot 🙏 fazier.com/launches/talat
0.8.2 went out yesterday with an important fix for an issue reported by an anonymous user. If that was you - we can't reply to you, but thank you for letting us know and sorry you hit the issue in the first place!
talat v0.8.0 is out! Another big release, with several new features and an experimental status line (which isn't perfect and we'd love your feedback on). Full changelog here: talat.app/changelog
talat v0.7.1 is out - this is an important update for anyone running 0.7.0 as it fixes a memory leak which would build up over time. Keep your eyes peeled for the 'update available' notification, or download manually from talat.app
talat v0.6.0 is out! This is a huge release - arguably a bit too big - but one we are super proud of. Read all about it here: talat.app/changelog
We've been getting a ton of in-app feedback, direct email, and DMs across a few platforms. It's all awesome, and we're trying to collate it into a public, visible feedback and roadmap here: roadmap.talat.app Check it out, upvote existing items you like the look of and add whatever's missing!
