@talat.app

Accurate transcription that runs entirely on your own computer, so nothing is ever uploaded to the cloud. Take notes in your meetings, dictate into any app, or write up recordings you already have.

talat v1.5.0 is up! We've reorganised the navigation, revamped our refer-a-friend scheme (within the app), made it so that you can (finally!) delete tags, added editable frontmatter YAML templates for the obsidian users, and a bunch of calendar improvements. talat.app

talat v1.3.0 is here already. We've missed a coupe of updates here, but there have been some great new features recently. One notable recent feature is being able to use Claude Code or Codex as your summarisation agent and dictation clean-up agent talat.app

Did you know talat now has local dictation? Just press a hotkey and talk. talat will clean it up and paste it into any app. You have full control over your prompt and you can use any LLM that you have configured. #dictation #productivity

We've just released version 0.14.0 of talat. This is an exciting release - with a new Dictation mode, and the ability to import files, along with many other smaller improvements and bug fixes.

Granola locked users' meeting transcripts. So a web dev with 20 years of experience built @talat.app. The app has a one-time fee of $49, uses offline models for transcription, and allows MCP connections. weekinvoiceai.substack.com/p/how-talat-built-a-local-first-stack

v0.11.0 is out, and since we were too busy to announce v0.10.0 properly, let's do that too: hellooo new design! There's too much to cover in a single post, but you can read the details over at talat.app/changelog, and take a look at some of the updated screenshots below 👇

Two features in v0.9.0 you might not have spotted: 1. Split a recording into two meetings, for when two conversations got captured as one 2. Merge two into one, for when a meeting got split (you stopped and restarted, or auto-stop fired too eagerly)

0.8.2 went out yesterday with an important fix for an issue reported by an anonymous user. If that was you - we can't reply to you, but thank you for letting us know and sorry you hit the issue in the first place!

talat v0.7.1 is out - this is an important update for anyone running 0.7.0 as it fixes a memory leak which would build up over time. Keep your eyes peeled for the 'update available' notification, or download manually from talat.app
