What a fun and inspiring NIHAI conference! “Norms in Language-Based Human-AI Interaction” brought together brilliant people in Kraków to discuss ethics, law, language, psychology, and the future of human-AI communication.
Our Polish team recently took part in the “Free Will, Robots, and Criminal Responsibility” workshop at Jagiellonian Uni. Iza and Kacper presented “What is reasonable for AI?”, sharing recent empirical findings on laypeople’s expectations of artificial agents.
What is the folk concept of FAKE NEWS? Miklos Kurthy & Markus Kneer show that falsity and source deception independently increased fake-news classifications. Many did not treat "fake news" as a synonym for "false news". Conservatism also played a role. bit.ly/4sLTe1J
