While we’re mentioning classic scares, how about circuses and clowns? In the adventure called “out of a nightmare”, the dream encounter named “little terrors at the big top” has that and also has a surprise! There is an inkblot image of what looks to be an unsettling monkey juggling balls, but they’re also appears to be a lurking face behind it

This dream encounter offers, not only terrible doctors and crazed crowds, but old Easter eggs too. Available now. This dream encounter is a deep cut for lore nerds. It is called the man with four faces. It is part of the adventure dream destination available now on the dungeon masters guild. It’s not really a dream at all. But you may need to go in to figure out why. There is an inkblot image that looks like the outlines of four individuals.

Continuing the “inspired by…” dream encounters, this next #Ravenloft nightmare is basically: “hot desert. with insects. of all sizes.” It’s also a good opportunity to try out #dnd5.5 chase rules. Oh and btw: there might be something shiny waiting in the last place you want to look…

When you play the Dream Encounter called Tremors in the Beetle Dunes in the adventure called Dream Destination be ready for a nightmarish desert of icky creatures large and small.
