SERVICE UPDATE 23/7/26 The Talyllyn Railway is returning to our standard service. The safety of our passengers, volunteers, staff, neighbours, and the surrounding environment remains our highest priority. We are taking every reasonable precaution to mitigate risk of fire during current conditions.

Due to Lineside fires cause by ongoing dry conditions, all departures will be diesel hauled 20th - 22nd July 2026. This is in line with advice from the Tywyn Fire Brigade to avoid Steam hauled trains. We thank passengers for their understanding. 📸 PH’s Railway Videos
IMPORTANT SERVICE CHANGES FOR SUNDAY 19/07/26 We are sorry to inform that there will be no steam hauled services on this day. We have had significant lineside fires so cannot continue to run our steam engines. (1/3)
SERVICE UPDATE 4 - 18/07/26 Diesel No.9 'Fred' will now be hauling the 16:40 ex-Wharf service this afternoon. Rusty's Line Inspection Special Train will be going ahead as intended. Once again thank you for being understanding during these circumstances.
SERVICE UPDATE 2 18/07/26 A blockage between Wharf and Pendre has been cleared and service will resume as normal - it is planned the 13:40 ex-Wharf service will depart on time. No.2 'Dolgoch' will take this train. The 15:30 will now be double headed by (1/3)
SERVICE UPDATE 18/07/26 Due to an operational issue between Wharf & Pendre the 11:45 ex-Wharf and 13:03 ex-Nant Gwernol service with No.2 Dolgoch has been cancelled, Rusty's Goods Train has also been cancelled. Other trains are currently running late as a result. We will endeavour to keep (1/3)
