Thanks for the recommendation to use my excess pineapple juice in a pork marinade. Porkchops turned out great tonight, served with a yellow plum salsa. And of course a couple cocktails with pineapple juice - Hotel Nacional and a Jungle Bird! Just one more liter to use up now!

I needed 3.5 oz of pineapple juice for a cocktail class tomorrow. Normally I'd buy a 6-pack of little cans, but all the store had was a GIANT 1.36L can of Dole. What can I do with a lot of pineapple juice that's NOT cocktails?

I love my alternatives-to-cars-friendly neighborhood. Tonight while walking down our street to the grocery store we saw dozens of pedestrians, several dogs, 3 bicycles, 2 unicycles, 1 e-bike, and and a motorcycle. And only 2 cars that were moving (many more that were parked, of course).

Finally got my hands on a Canadian whisky that's attempting to be bourbon. Even without looking at the back label there's a lot of telegraphing going on - "straight whisky" is not a term that's really used in connection with Canadian. 1/4

Canadians really will put a maple leaf on anything!

I'm involved with SF fandom, and some people in our community think we have especially a lot of drama. But I think every hobby community has drama, but you only notice it in the ones that you are part of. What's the big drama/contentious topic in a hobby community you're involved with?

And the principle of all of this is AWESOME and obviously the point. But I do want to note that modern dishwasher detergents actually work better if the dishes are dirty. They are enzymatic and need things to react with. So you should scrape off chunks, but do not rinse!!

I am really sick of shitty and entitled Uber drivers who think they are doing you a favor by giving you a ride.
