I am actually cooking tonight, not throwing together something part-processed! Finally have cooler weather + just enough mojo to muster something. Chicken in a creamy pancetta & mushroom sauce with steamed green veg & little potatoes. Not fancy but hopefully wholesome.

It was time to break out a *new and different* smoked salt tonight, having used up all the Cornish one! This one is from Achill Island (bought at St George's Market in Belfast)

It's a S.C.C.A.NS-off! Pale Ale on the left vs. IPA on the right. IPA is winning (no surprise really)
Oh my god. This food from Yagi Izakaya at @kernelbrewery.bsky.social is so good, it's making me emotional. Herbal chicken gyoza, and grilled aubergine with pine nut dashi & rayu
I bought some superglue, but it turns out I am too scared of it to use it. A rush of horrible scenarios just paraded through my head and I had to set it down unopened
I walked into a bar & enjoyed beers from Cloudwater, Kernel & Verdant, & they were all on cask wp.me/p15p2Q-hxa
From Craft to cask, as craft pioneers brew cask
I stopped by the Cock Tavern E8 on Friday evening to share a beer or two with long standing friends Hazel and Ian. For the unaware the Cock is in Mare St E8 (Hackney Central BR 2 minutes). It is a …

I am highly suggestible, so on seeing people in the Godzilla film eating ramen, I immediately wanted some for supper after. Got my wish in the form of Yuzu Tonkotsu at Bone Daddies!
Info for anyone interested in tasty Sri Lankan food alongside their cask/craft beer - Old Fountain Old Street has a new pop-up running the kitchen. I had snacks, v good and I'll be back for more! The V dishes are vegan. Good cask (as usual) too - this is from Iron Pier
Off to the Barbican to see kaiju film Giant Monsters All-Out Attack! Where Godzilla faces off to Mothra and King Ghidorah!

A small haul from the garden! These grew by accident and somehow survived through the drought. Tiny but intense!
Chilling out on my last night of the Amsterdam / Zandvoort F1 trip - with a Moersleutel Imperial Stout out of espresso cups(!) and The Cult on YouTube
Rather nice spot for lunch in the sunshine! At t'Ij brewery / Cafe Struis
Visited the Heineken brewery to view the historic parts and admire the stained glass windows and gleaming mash tuns. Luckily the bar at the end had one beer that wasn't the standard - a witpils which is actually ok
Took this of the sky over Zandvoort beach yesterday as I walked back to town from the circuit
No cheating. Share the last photo of the sky from your camera roll (if you feel like it) For views from north Norfolk, all taken last week.
Catching some Ferrari action on track at the Dutch Grand Prix!
I have entered Walhalla! Lots of good beers to work through but I am most excited to be trying this
Had a good look at Amsterdam from a high vantage point! Luckily visited in the sweet spot between rain showers when the view was nice and clear
Well, turns out that DIPA wasn't the last of the night after all ... A cheeky little Gaia IPA from Oedipus, in the welcoming cafe at the end of the street we are staying on
One last little Walhalla DIPA then to bed early to get into the right bedtime/wake time for race weekend!
