Moving from topic-based teaching to concept-driven learning helps students transfer understanding across subjects. Concepts build depth, invite connections, and support real-world application. It’s not just what they know—it’s what they can do with it. #ConcetpsInAction

Yesterday I connected with teachers from NMAJS and DAIS in Mumbai where we focussed on the importance of differentiation. The best way for teachers to understand differentiation is to provide experiences and strategies in the workshop that are differentiated.

How wonderful to connect (finally) with this amazing leadership team. Bri Eddy-Lee Kate Lynch Heather Rich thank you for such a productive day. It was great to share ways to promote play in the Early Years. Yesterday with the P3 team we looked at setting invitations to promote "children as writers".

Many years ago in Moscow at AASM, I had the chance to collaborate with the amazing Maureen Sackmaster. It is joyful to have the chance to be back with her at BBIS Berlin Brandenburg IS. What a week, rewriting the POI, developing PE units and EY units to promote theory building. So grateful.

Great to be at BBIS Berlin Brandenburg IS rewriting the POI to include NGSS and C3. Wonderful team to collaborate with. We began mapping the standards to possible units and year levels to ensure articulation. Today we will develop lines of inquiry and central ideas that promote student inquiry.

Remember to slow down, listen, observe and plan in response to students. It has been a joy to collaborate with the amazing EY team led by Jackie Becher at BCIS Beijing. This is such an important reminder and reflection from their PYPC Dan Zhu #conceptsinaction #IGE
