In an Alexander McCall Smith book it is written “the rule in the Saville Club in London, on the members’ breakfast table, is a sign saying ‘conversation not preferred.’” I am considering adopting this when we have guests. I don't often read things as they first come out and love revisiting old favourites which made me think of the first novels I read when I was 10 or 11. Nancy Drew and LOTR stand out, which reflect favourite genres to this day. What do others remembe? 🖋️📚💙 ⚡️📚
