#Commanders on the active roster I don't see at practice today: - RB Jeremy McNichols (undisclosed) - C Nick Allegretti (calf) - TE John Bates (hamstring) - OLB K'Lavon Chaisson (undisclosed) - DE Drake Jackson (illness) - CB Amik Robertson (undisclosed)

Some takeaways from the #Commanders' first padded practice: - Terry McLaurin's still good - Jayden Daniels was on the money - The DL continued to have a decided advantage over the OL - Despite that, this was the offense's best day of camp so far. More back and forth than Week 1

During an 11-on-11 period, DT Charles Omenihu got quick pressure up the middle and forced Daniels to escape the pocket. DE Odafe Oweh chased Daniels down, which led him to throw the ball away to avoid a sack. On the next play, Omenihu and Oweh combined for a sack.

At least for now, the #Commanders are rolling with what they have at WR. That’s a massive bet on star Terry McLaurin having a bounce-back year. The looming question is whether that’ll be enough to lift a WR corps that’s lacking, at least on paper 🔗⤵️ www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2026/...

Absent wideout reinforcements, Commanders bet big on Terry McLaurin

Washington is counting on a bounce-back season from its No. 1 receiver and a breakthrough year from his younger teammates.
