Maths teachers - help! I'm looking for a London school that's interested in hosting a session about maths & Civil Engineering. Details: - A one-hour session with short presentations from 3 young civil engineers and Q&A. - Aimed at Y12s - Late Sept/early Oct ideal Email me if interested.

It's that time of year when people prepare and share resources for GCSE maths prep. So much is out there for EdExcel and AQA, but there's little for OCR. We're an OCR centre for foundation, and I'm wondering if there's a pre-existing community for this sort of thing!?

A TV series doesn't succeed because Episode 5 of Season 3 was amazing. It succeeds because of quality long-term storytelling. Period 5 on Wednesday doesn't need to be the best lesson ever taught. But it does need to be part of a well-constructed journey through maths.

I can't wait for this event. Looking forward to sharing my thoughts on assessment in the secondary maths classroom!

The @ttradioofficial.bsky.social Connect event on 14th March in Manchester is looking to be absolutely brilliant! In the Maths Strand you'll hear from the wonderful teachers below, along with some brilliant main stage speakers. The event is totally FREE! Tickets at: www.ttradio.org/connect2026

Does anyone have any experience of using UpLearn at A level Maths? It’s a it a worthwhile purchase? Do you use it for intervention or independent learning?

My favourite tables resource is the SMILE booklets (mathsteachers.wordpress.com/wp-content/u...) I've added an Excel sheet to my website (taylorda01.weebly.com) under 'Resources' and 'Maths Resources' which takes the 'best bits' and randomises for using repeatedly if needed. I hope it's useful!

I've just spent a little time adding some content to taylorda01.weebly.com, specifically on the 'Stories' page (Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, remarkable prime numbers, a festive activity, Frobenius numbers, and Lagrange's Four Square Theorem). Any more to be added?

As the dust settles after results day and the focus of leadership teams returns to the coming academic year, I think it's natural that much of this focus sits with year 11. But if there's one thing I think we get wrong with Y11, it's giving unsupported exam practise.
