When I shared a screen capture of the OP with friends, several of them asked me (reasonably!) if it was real. What in the actual Hell? Writing is not a trinket for a newspaper to use to makeup books to fill page space. Its an insult to the writers mentioned and to their readers. This is why we need strong copyright laws AND policies that don't allow AI to infiltrate our 4th estate

Only seen this photo shared by @tbretc.bsky.social, but it looks like the Chicago Sun Times had AI write about summer books…and it included some that don’t exist. Cool, cool. Could’ve paid me or someone else, you know? This is what I do. But yeah, go with AI slop. Do you.
