The Season 2 finale of Batman Caped Crusader is fantastic, IMO. It's a 2-parter, so watch episodes 9-10 if you're so inclined. Entire season is good, though, and each episode teases a bit of the final 2.

We watched 2024's The Return today. Ralf Feinnes is a much better Odysseus than Matt Damon. So much more expressive, often with just a look. You can see his exhaustion, pain, and torment. Neither of us cared for Telemachus, though. Not so much the actor as the portrayal as a sniveling jerk.
I'd crank my phone full blast and play The Oath until they stop.
It's entirely possible we've just watched the final World Cup (as we know it). Trump's buddy, head of FIFA, is working on a $20 billion deal to sell FIFA to a Kushner group. The UEFA has strongly condemned the proposal, and while they haven't said so publicly, there's a real possibility they exit.

Why is Android auto-correct so consistently terrible? I was trying to type "measure", but fat-fingered the m and typed "neasure" instead. It auto-corrected to "erasure". Not even close, Android, not even close.
Sure, sure. They were depleted when Biden attacked Iran (wait...I'm being told that was Trump). Also: it appears to be Schrödinger's Stockpile. We're taking a step back because it was "depleted by Biden" (it wasn't), and also, it's not depleted and people saying so should go to jail. FFS

Went to the Etruscan exhibit at the SF Legion of Honor today. I knew a little bit about the Etruscans from visits to Tuscany, but I didn't realize how many things we commonly attribute to the Romans were things they got from the Etruscans as they conquered and absorbed them over a period of 400yrs.

Loved The Odyssey. Highly recommended. Didn't even feel like nearly 3 hours, as it never really dragged. Got an enthusiastic thumbs up from my (retired) high school English teacher wife, who's very familiar with the source material, as well.
Super long line for the 11am showing of The Odyssey IMAX (15/70mm). I guess the chuds were wrong about it tanking. Also, we're super fortunate to have one of only 25 IMAX theaters in the country showing the full 15/70 format.
