We say goodbye to the versatile Sam Neill. Whether he was a despicable villain or a dedicated paleontologist dodging dinosaurs, Neill brought warmth and natural charisma to his characters in a career spanning more than five decades. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

For the month of July, TCM features over 30 films that put singing stars from the stage, the radio and the recording studio on the big screen as our Stars of the Month. We kick off our celebration with NEW ORLEANS ('47) featuring Billie Holliday and Louis Armstrong.

All of us at TCM are saddened to hear about the passing of Oscar-nominated actress Ann Blyth. Over the years, she became a dear friend to the TCM family sharing stories of her life and career with us and her fans. Cinema will be less bright without this shining star.
