I’ve come to terms with the fact that the art is almost always bigger than the artists. It’s not only JK Rowling (I don’t even like HP), it’s everybody else too. Never meet your heroes or almost inevitably you’ll start to question wtf were you thinking
Can someone working in HR explain to me what are the challenges of the current job market (regardless of where). I understand that each job gets thousands of applications done with AI but on the other hand HR also uses AI to screen CVs causing all kind of problems. Where do you go from here?
Hit with the first instance of artist changing job because of AI so he’s not available for upcoming projects. Sucks because he has a peculiar style and to keep consistency I need to ask someone else to emulate him.
3rd of Silo is the weakest thus far. I haven’t read the prequel books and I don’t know if they are faithful to that, but the decision to intertwine two timelines results in poor pacing. I would have preferred dedicated episodes for each. I also don’t remember half of this stuff from the Silo books
There’s a lot of negativity about the effects of GamePass on the industry but let’s be honest, many of the games in there would have not sold well regardless, and some probably wouldn’t even have become so popular without being included
This must be on the top of my "features no one asked for" list, Spotify

Survivors in the teams just found out they need to make them, let’s check again in 4 years if there are even consoles
The new Fallout announcements show that Xbox is still doing a poor job of clarifying what games will be console exclusives
Went to a crowded seaside yesterday with a preschooler and a toddler and it was like being the bodyguard of two suicidal divas

The deep void in these people’s soul
NEW: Meta paid hundreds of contractors to pretend they were kids—and then prompt rival chatbots like Gemini and ChatGPT to talk about subjects like suicide, sex, eating disorders, and self-harm. From @dmehro.bsky.social and @joelkhalili.bsky.social
Right now the world is full of people who want to code and write and paint and film stuff and people who want to play and read and look at and watch stuff and nobody is allowed to do any of that because some unrelated third guy isn't making enough money off the deal
Our games industry is people. Our studios are people. Our teams people, our games by people for people. Our games are made by people, in groups of people, in teams of people, making people things for people. The magic is people, and the people deserve so much better than all this. I am so sorry.
Babe wake up, new industrial band five-album discography just dropped
Well, I've been affected by the Bungie layoffs, and I guess I'm now looking for work. I'm a senior narrative designer on Destiny 2. I'm going to thread a little list of stuff I've done on the game; normally I go out of my way to avoid attention, but today I'd appreciate reposts.
I feel like Paul Krugman for having bought all my devices when prices where still normal. We’re entering the Sophon phase of hardware development
God said alright that’s enough and just started bleaching France off the map

So the world’s only trillionaire, who hates taxes, opposes wealth redistribution, wants to cut public spending, and barely gives to charity, wants you to think he will lead the world to abundance for all if you buy his robots? How has that worked so far?
The co-founder of Ubisoft died in a tragic accident and the NYT somehow feels the need to spend a lengthy paragraph of the obituary debating whether having a black main character for a recent game was "DEI". Incredible work.
Adobe, you had one job with the web version of Adobe Reader: to enable online collaboration for commenting on documents. I don't need a fucking podcast about my PDFs or an AI summary; I need to be able to implement revisions. But now, Adobe Reader can't even load documents online. @adobe.com
I won’t be happy until I see the bodies of billionaires dragged around data centers like Achilles dragged Hector outside the walls of Troy
I’ve never received slower food service than in Finland. Two pizzas and one waffle took almost three hours. Figure it out ffs
