This is on my mind a lot. Kids benefit from a safe way to experience sadness, loss or fear because life is inevitably full of it. They need guided chances to process, ask questions, see cause/effect without having to live it. It leads to healthier adults with more tools in their emotional toolbox.

Kids need/deserve traumatic films. Films that show death or lasting consequences that aren't resolved almost instantly. Fear, anger, grief and frustration should be part of kids movies. Kids arent stupid, they feel big emotions just like adults, they deserve to see those experiences reflected back.

Two things I really miss about LiveJournal was the excuse to commission artists for new icons (you'd usually have different icons for different types of posts/moods) and also having a spot to add "what you're listening to." There was a subtle art to song choice, like flower arrangements of yore.

Yo! I got a small run of SOFTCOVER Oren's Forge Vol 1 printed! They'll be at AnthroCon at my partner's dealer table (Spainimation #C02) Despite my dumb(-ish) phone taking us back to 2018 image quality, they honestly turned out great for a small run irl. It's nice to have them back on hand/in print!
