The fuck is this doing in Toronto Pearson airport? I can't find anything about this online. This is past the us border control point, but still in Canada. PragerU and the white house. Ew. I didn't stop to read anything so idk what they're actually saying in the placards to the right.

A banner advertising "The road to liberty" "museum" by PragerU, in partnership with the white house. This is in an airport. There are photos on the wall with placards beneath.

I'd just start singing Bohemian Rhapsody because I definitely can get through the whole song; the only variable is if I accidentally stumble over my words because while I know it, it's not something I practice. I would get quite far into it before any chance of messing up, though.

You’re caught unawares and offered $1000 per correct word if you recite any existing piece of text you know - accumulating up to the point you make your first mistake. How much do you walk away with?

Finally, some good computer news. Decided to try plugging the failed SSD directly into my PC using a PCIe to NVME adapter (as in, plugged into a regular PCIe x8 slot) instead of a usb drive adapter and I can get sensible read speeds out of it now within a live booted Linux.

BOOBS!! Just kidding random PSA to whom it may concern: Back up your data, the crap that's important to you. Sooner rather than later. Pick a spot, choose a hard drive, whatever you have. Make a copy.

Something I've wanted to do for ages is 3D model my old 70s receiver/amp in CAD software, and then import that model into vrchat to use as a homeworld or event venue. You'd be inside the receiver hanging around on the circuit board.

So, I have a spare AM4 CPU, a spare GPU, a spare CPU cooler (the stock box one from the CPU I have), and a vague need for a server more powerful than a raspberry pi.... Should I....? I've spent so much on computer hardware in the past month, though....

I think we should be on standard time year round because if people want that extra sunlight they should just be able to work 8 to 4. Why should we screw up solar noon for everyone when we can just accept that the rigid 9 to 5 is dumb?

what backup solution do people use? Being postactive (as opposed to proactive) here tbh. Probably lost some good vrchat avatar data with that drive which died. yippee.

I would really like to catch a fucking break. after all that BS with my GPU and motherboard, my game drive also decided to die. I'm copying as much as I can off of it now. Of course, that's where I kept all my vrchat project files.

Went out and grabbed my two previous GPUs as well from storage so I can display them. Top to bottom, 970, 1070, 3070 Ti.

So. That didn't work. So I bought a new 9070 XT. And then when I plugged it in, my PC was crashing constantly. Full on lock-up crashing. After half a week of troubleshooting, I bought myself a new motherboard, and everything seems good now.

Okay, so I used DDU to completely wipe out the drivers and reinstall from scratch. That **might** have fixed the issue. But also, now I've been looking at new GPUs and, ugh. There's still a part of me that wants to upgrade anyway. Just in case. Cuz this computer is critical to me.

Here’s a bespoke streaming platform made specifically to broadcast into VRC it’s now the backbone of DJing live in vr that’s a thing you can do by the way did you know DJs can DJ live in vr because of something this community made are you fucking shitting me right now???

Here's a bespoke VR parkour system I build for my Mirrors Edge inspired map that I made from scratch. Here's the most detailed and accurate quadruped model you've ever seen for the therians Here's a cloud system on par with motherfucking Rockstar Games it's made by one guy who makes Among Us jokes

I love what I did with these headphones. AKG K240 MkII, with a bunch of the plastics replaced with 3D printed parts I designed myself to duplicate the originals. Including, importantly, an attachment which lets me use a Fiio BTR5 plus a short cable to make these into fully wireless cans.

So, I'm now less worried about my GPU. However, im now thinking about what I'd upgrade to if needed. What's the best AMD GPU for vrchat these days? Trying to hedge for if I decide to switch to Linux.
