ngl i would be spending money in cap hill downtown area on the regular if the bike facilities there were better. it just feels like a car sewer. strange because the residential streets to the east are all pleasant to cycle on. small, quiet. hardly any traffic

cap hill downtown is such a fun area but i’m a bit confused at the space for cars in this little area. it just doesn’t make any sense. too much road. not enough people space

i haven’t biked much around cap hill but i have yet to see any sort of bike facility on major roads. am i supposed to just die? i don’t get it
tried therapy for the first time and holy fuck what a relief. i don’t really have many shoulders to cry on/vent to so that stuff helped immensely. my goodness
the crushing weight of losing something you took for granted but was actually the life blood holding you together is quite unbearable
so far really love living in capitol hill. the housing is incredibly diverse here. a wonderful mixture of apartment buildings, stacked flats, row homes, town homes, single family homes, etc. good vibes. just a few too many rushing cars at some hours lol
imo we really need to start pressing on not just residential upzoning, but rezoning to allow for shops/cafes in neighborhoods. traffic is already a problem because people all have to driving to monolithic shopping zones. we need those zones IN our neighborhoods to eliminate trips.
really getting tired of seeing “the problem is affordability” in response to wanting more homes. housing feels like an uphill battle on a 90 degree incline
you can kill someone with you car while speeding and sleep in your own bed at night. but swerve on a bike? deeply unserious country. i feel like im in the matrix where the masters are the corpos who sell us medicine for diseases they cause.

almost got hit by a car last night in SF, because of how drivers disrespect right on red rules. i had the walk sign, but out of the corner of my eye, i some headlights coming up quick, so i didnt step off yet. sure enough, some idiot in a tesla blows the red light to make a right on red.
