My take on the humble Catoblepas for my DnD campaign, made it more akin to a Musk Ox or Damascus Goat while still filling the role of Bison. Their offensive aroma is due to infestations of small beetles, producing a foul smelling liquid as a means of breaking down their thick fur to eat. ✨
