Here's a more recent picture, although currently she's halfway disassembled since the battery box is accessed under the seat. Right hand control is toast (previously-mentioned prior owner kludging) and left is up in the air. I may have picked a replacement but I need to verify the connection points.

Just got a huuuuuge commission back from an artist I just found named Ryle! No bsky sadly. While I don't normally mention it, I do like some fan art things, and Girl's Frontline is one of them! MP-443 is my darling raifu~! There's a ton more variations of this set, but I'm only posting one.

I've posted too many text-only posts in a row, so here's something with a picture. This is my carry gun, an Israeli import CZ-75D Compact that I added a CZ-75B slide and G10 grips onto. The barrel is a custom extended/ported deal from Bar-Sto made to mimic the CZ-75 Auto's unique barrel.

I may have been bad and purchased a truck... ...from out of state... ...in dubious mechanical condition... ..and paid to have it shipped to me.

Did you know I also build guns? I think this latest one is uh...possessed... I don't really post my gun content here, but if this does well I'll post more from my collection!

I attempted to start Junkdog up today. She told me no. It's too hot. Bastard.

I still use this picture to show people JD "completed". Frankly, I have been very tempted to just rebuild my brakes and buy new lines to ride the bike now, but my financial situation is also improving slightly so I may actually be able to get back on track to building her the way i want.

hoooly a lot happened today! I will post some more video replies after this so y'all can see the progress made! First up...the turn signals work! The relay is a little borked but that just ends up being the left signal holds longer than it should.

I recently got a chance to visit Barber Vintage Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, AL and who else would I find except...the great Seiyu-chan!! Seiyu-chan!! Maybe one day I'll be able to park one at the house myself.

Another design commission for @tekitacs.bsky.social! Seiyu-Chan born in Hamamatsu is based on a 1982 Suzuki GSX1000S Katana! Big thanks to @vg99kinsei.bsky.social for help with cultural references and translation, and to Rat Basher for writing the blurb text!

Just a small update today. I'm off work for the week (we get a whole week for the Fourth of July!!) but I had the old girl out to move some stuff around in the garage. She's so much closer to being able to start up again that I'm super giddy. That said, I'm in need of a pickup truck now...

I purchased a motorcycle/ATV lift today and put it together. I like to imagine Junkdog is flopped over her midsection on a gymnastics sawhorse when I hoist the bike in the air with it..

Here's that promised lighting testing I did! It ended up being surprisingly difficult to keep the pictures consistent but I think I did a pretty good job. Center is center on the slider, and moving outwards is 1/4, 1/2, and full to either lighten (to the right) or darken (to the left) the exposure

Another example of required home-fixes. I have to adapt an older style starter button and killswitch to this harness, and have rigged this awful contraption together. The wires are not trace accurate but are correct to the wiring diagram.

a certain level of craftiness is required by now. After some research I learned that the coils I have are aftermarket DynaCoils, however the wiring harness has the original spade connectors on it. I am unwilling to cut up my nice new harness for them, so I made traceable connector wires instead.

It's funny looking back on this comm and seeing all the old ancient bodywork she still had back then (all the yellow parts have long since been removed) as well as the original seat. !! I promise an update will be done!! Probably next year when the major bodywork is finished.

The weekend report; Today I managed to get the battery box bracket attached to the battery box inside the frame and connect a good majority of the wiring harness together. I also did the preliminary installation of the fuel filter in line with the carburetors.

Sadly JD is currently in a very dismal state right now. I have her entire gauge cluster removed. The old wiring harness has been vanquished however wiring the new harness in is a pain. I need to order some new parts, as the prior owner decided to solder some wires he wasn't supposed to...

Just got my fuel tank for Junkdog back from my mechanic. Wonderful guy, absolutely loves hearing me crunch numbers on supercharging JD, considering he's a retro brit race bike kinda guy (Norton, BSA, Triumph) and this sorta thing is all new. Definitely gonna rock the all black as the base color...

I do this exact thing to @peppertoasty.bsky.social I fear he will one day tire of my awful sketching skills.

If you are commissioning an artist, and want a specific pose, don't run to genAI to try and make it for you. Draw a stick person. Stick person poses are beloved among all artists. We can see exactly what you want. Do not fear sending the stick person. The stick person is magical.
