Enabling public authorities, citizens, experts, researchers & companies to generate multimodal traffic counting using a low-cost, accurate AI sensor. Indoor & outdoor, dashboard and API #trafficcounts #verkeerstellingen #comptagetrafic https://telraam.net
Use our sensors to calibrate traffic models & provide insights into traffic volumes at a local level. Check out Traffic scout for a ready-made application built on top our api ⤵️ traffic-scout.net

Would be interesting if they could use tech like Telraam for data collection. Low cost and not invasive.

Oxfordshire County Council had ~100 traffic sensors on busy roads but zero data on quiet streets, school routes & rural lanes. Their fix: window-mounted Telraam sensors, half hosted by residents. 50+ now, 100 by summer. No images, no personal data - just counts & speeds. 🔗 lnkd.in/eh7fQ9Q6

Next week, 250,000+ people descend on a field in Brittany for Les Vieilles Charrues. 10 Telraam sensors in 3 rings (approach roads → parking → gates) will feed Oktoway's dashboard live mobility data every minute to help keep the crowds safe. 🎶🚗🚶♀️ #MobilityData #EventSafety

After decades of failed petitions, a resident installed a traffic sensor and got her dangerous intersection fixed in months. Her case: cities should equip communities with their own data tools: privacy-safe, resident-controlled, instead of cutting speed cameras. macleans.ca/society/let-...
Let Communities Monitor Their Own Streets - Macleans.ca
I installed traffic sensors in my neighbourhood. That’s the kind of data we need to plan our cities.

Hammersmith Bridge was closed to vehicles 🚧 after £300m repairs were deemed unaffordable. But it never really closed, a Telraam sensor shows 12,000 pedestrians & cyclists cross daily, many commuting. Our data could help it become a model active travel route.
One thing that is particularly telling here is that I lobbied all of the relevant authorities (Richmond, H&F, TfL) to install automated cycle & pedestrian counters at Hammersmith Bridge, without success. So I installed this one myself. Institutional windscreen POV is very selective in what it sees
We discussed this subject this morning as well, with some figures of actually how busy it is - but just with pedestrians and cyclists instead of vehicles. We have a sensor there showing over 12,000 commutes daily over the bridge. Not closed at all telraam.net/en/location/...

Cars are counted everywhere. Cyclists and pedestrians? Barely at all. That data gap is why active travel struggles to win investment. Fix the data, fix the funding. 🚶🚴 #ActiveTravel #UrbanMobility
"Un an après l'installation de ses propres compteurs de trafic, l'association millavoise In'VD dresse un bilan de la pratique du vélo en ville. Si la part des cyclistes progresse, elle reste, freinée par le manque d'aménagements et par des vitesses automobiles jugées trop élevées..."
Rimini breathes cycling 🚴 Two days of great conversations on multimodal data & mobility policy. One of the highlights: meeting Belgian Minister Jean-Luc Crucke, the Mayor of Rimini, and Prof. Valentina Orioli, the person behind Bologna's city-wide 30 km/h zone.
