News: Gael Monfils and Leolia Jeanjean get the French reciprocal for the US Open from the FFT Monfils was getting one regardless, the question was if it would be the reciprocal or if Arthur Gea was getting that, Gea will have to play qualifying now. Lot of big names looking for WCs.

ATP 1000 Montreal R2: Joao Fonseca vs Stefanos Tsitsipas Prediction: Fonseca in 3 Fonseca hasn't played since Wimbledon and Tsitsipas has won 2 consecutive matches to get here so this could be interesting.

WTA 1000 Toronto R2: Barbora Krejcikova vs Liudmila Samsonova Prediction: Krejcikova in 3 As long as she stays healthy, I'm expecting a big summer for Krejcikova, she started the summer hardcourt season with a title in Athens already.

WTA 1000 Toronto R2: Linda Noskova vs Caty McNally Prediction: Noskova in 3 This is Noskova's first match since winning Wimbledon, we will see how she responds to being a slam champion, which is not easy to deal with.

Yannick Hanfmann wins 7⁷-6⁵, 7⁷-6² vs Flavio Cobolli He fought back in both sets but Cobolli loses the first match he plays at a tournament for the 8th time this year, which is absolutely unbelievable for a Top 10 player, his top level is high but he is prone to upsets. That ends today's tennis.

News: Alcaraz will not be playing Cincy The good news is he is back to training but not far enough along to make it. He will either play the US Open without a warmup or miss the last 3 slams of the year, but I think its good that he's taking it cautiously as he has throughout the whole process

News: Davidovich Fokina and Bublik missed Canada and now are both out of Cincy Bublik is expected, he's on record saying as long as Cincy falls during his kids birthday he isn't playing it but Fokina is a bit curious, could not find a reason for his Canada withdrawal.

Terence Atmane wins 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 vs Jack Draper Draper was in tears at one of the change of ends and Tennis Channel said his serving speeds were way down, so assumingly unable to go full speed because of the arm again. He also got a wild card into Cincy but doubting that's going to happen

Iga Swiatek gets past Sara Bejlek 6-0, 6-3 in Toronto Elina Svitolina, who has struggled in recent months also won 6⁵-7⁷, 7⁷-6⁴, 6-4 vs Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, close to 3 hours. In Montreal, Stefanos Tsitsipas won 6-4, 6-4 vs Martin Damm and Hubert Hurkacz got past Giron 7-5, 4-6, 6-2

Montreal R2: Frances Tiafoe vs Marin Cilic Prediction: Tiafoe in 3 Tiafoe trying to overcome multiple things in this one, he needs to finally get a run in Canada, the fact that he lost early in Washington makes that a little easier
