#underwaterjam day 1/67; not a whole lot to show, set up the Godot project, downloaded a sound library, made a mood-board and currently playing through Silent-Debuggers and taking notes. Prob not going to do daily updates since this jam is so long, but when something interesting happens.

Tried out Boltgun. It's pretty shallow, but there's an armor pen. mechanic that ads a little, and there's some really nice pixel art and visuals, but the enemy AI is really basic and there's no story to speak of. Some performance issues too. It's fun for what it is though.
Some tips on how you can push poses your poses to be a lil more dynamic
#underwaterjam 's rules let you pregame before the jam starts, and I'm really trying to resist the urge to start working immediately. The jam is probably(?) for visual novels, but any 'narrative driven' game is acceptable so I'm going to abuse that.

One thing i don't really see brought up much is the impending collapse of the petrodollar as a catalyst for a lot of what's happened the past couple years
$50.1 million could fund over 400 doctorates; 933 years worth of annual curator salaries (UK), or running cost for a millennium-worth of free events like the Lyme Regis Fossil Festival. It is inane that people can accumulate such wealth, and use it explicitly to cause public harm.

trying to teach myself music production for game stuff via youtube tutorials, getting pretty frustrated that so many of these music producer channels have zero qualms using the sloppiest generated art imaginable when any artist I know wouldn't ever use generated music. One-way solidarity.
New GITS is good, but the pacing is waaay off. I had to check that i wasn't watching it at 2x speed accidentally. Hopefully it's just an episode 1 thing.

The area near the capital was struck with 7.2 and 7.5 earthquake. Some Venezuelans were greatly affected including some of the ones here. If you have the means to help donate to their kofi's or other means directly to them. Int organization funds often don't reach as many people here

my immediate family is all ok (besides broken windows etc) thankfully, but some of my cousin's-cousin's lived in La Guira and their whole apartment building collapsed with them in it. The whole family is gone, jfc.
