"In a democracy, leaders are judged not by how often they speak, but by their willingness to answer uncomfortable questions. By that standard, President Zelensky has room for improvement," writes Kateryna Denisova, political journalist, in this op-ed.

President Zelensky needs to change the way he talks to Ukrainians

President Volodymyr Zelensky rarely misses a daily address. Nearly every evening, he sits behind the desk in his office, a wall of military chevrons behind him, and delivers a video monologue to the n...

The people in Germany who oppose European armament haven’t paid attention to what is happening. The idea that not being armed is somehow the guarantee for peace and freedom shows a remarkable obtuse read on history and current affairs.

»Nein zu deutschen Artilleriegeschossen«: Beim Protest gegen eine neue Waffenproduktion der Firma Rheinmetall versammeln sich rechte und linke Weltversteher. Auch Aktivistin Greta Thunberg mischt mit.

Posted this earlier. It’s an AI manipulated image. However, the screenshot isn’t — Trump has posted this image to Truth Social. That doesn’t really change the spirit of what I said but in many ways that makes it even worse. Either Trump doesn’t know it’s AI generated or —worse IMHO— he does.

1. I hate the clear attempt by republicans to delay the declaration of Mitch Mconnel’s death to avoid a special election. 2. I also hate the memes about him and his death.

Uhm. I’m still astonished by all these conspiratorial posts about the ID check. Mythos was pulled due to a US injunction. If you suddenly couldn’t sell your product because the government demands to only sell it to US citizens, you’d be investing in some kind of mechanism to be compliant too.

In a new privacy policy, Anthropic says Claude will soon require you to upload your driver's license or passport for a variety of reasons. The ID checker is Persona, a firm funded by Trump ally Peter Thiel. As a U.S. company, Persona is also subject to gov't demands for people's verification data. 👀

Watched the Mandalorian and Grogu. Not the best Star Wars but way better than Solo, and episodes 7-9. I mean low bar, but still. Very heartwarming, highly recommended.

Damn. It happened. I got addicted to tmux. AMA. I miss this experience deeply on Windows. Yes, I know of psmux but it’s not close enough. It’s too sluggish and the themes don’t work super well.

I’m of two minds here: 1. I’ve got zero doubt that the document is authentic and that certain executives at MS pursue this strategy. 2. I can believe that this isn’t Satya’s approach That said, I’m not convince that 2. doesn’t mean that he wouldn’t turn a blind eye on 1. If it works though.

By saying he doesn't know about the leaked document we got saying Microsoft wants to "make people addicted" to its new AI, CEO Satya Nadella shows he 1) does not know how to read or 2) does not know what is happening with some of the company’s highest-profile products www.404media.co/satya-nadell...

I get the anger towards tech, but I don’t believe tech is the root of the problem here. It’s the anti competitive behavior of John Deer in particular. So I hope they succeed and it creates a big ecosystem of various providers that create affordable solutions for the tech as well.

We spoke to the creators of a repairable, no tech tractor, which is a direct response to agriculture giant John Deere making it essentially impossible for farmers to repair the tractors themselves. This puts power back in their hands Watch more and subscribe here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqwd...
