I am *delighted* that I got asked to be “in conversation with” the brilliant Mazey Eddings this Friday (2/6) evening at 6pm at the Tustin Library! @mazeyeddings.bsky.social Come join us! (I am not on socials much anymore and am grateful to any who can amplify this in SoCal bookish networks)

A promotional poster for the event, with a headshot photo of author Mazey Eddings (a smiling, gorgeous white woman with shoulder-length light brown hair) and the cover of her most recent book: Well, Actually.

Apparently my alma mater became the biggest feel-good underdog story of the college football season, so Loki and I got up early in California to cheer for THE Hoosiers take THE win over A college from Ohio. I love that you can troll a whole football rival with indefinite articles. It’s so nerdy.

My bright red hoodie that says in white text, all caps: INDIANA 1820.

There are a lot of reasons to go see WICKED on opening weekend, and yes maybe it’s weird that my particular reason was Jonny Bailey sharing a screen with a goat. Just let me have this, ok. We all deserve to fly. 😭

A bunch of new folks are following me over here. I feel like I should post… Here are photos of my dog and my latest read, The Ornithologist’s Field Guide to Love by India Holton. I adored it. Delightfully nerdy, romantic & fun. If you have more nerdy, romantic, delightful books to rec, pls do!

A backyard photo of my dog Loki, who is a big black mixed breed dog, probably mostly pitbull and black lab. In this photo, he is 30% tongue and teeth, 30% boopable snoot, 20% big brown eyes, 15% cute floppy ears, 5% je ne sais quoi. The utterly gorgeous cover of India Holton’s THE ORNITHOLOGIST’S FIELD GUIDE TO LOVE, which is a lush magenta background with lettering and Victorian-style embellishments in gold, including a beautiful phoenix-esque bird.

It’s been almost a year since I was active on any social media, and … tbh I will probably disappear from this one any minute now! But I want to keep my accounts working just in case. Here, have a drawing of a snail.

From a medieval manuscript, an illustration of a creature that has a goat’s head, neck, and forelegs emerging from a giant snail shell. The background is painted a deep blue, and the majestic goat snail is given an aura of radiant fine lines of real gold
