Wrapping up the #TETTRIXkickoff today! 🫶🇧🇪 On this final day, we will learn more about the Satellite projects of TETTRIX – a group of third-party projects that will be established to address different taxonomic challenges identified by TETTRIX. Stay tuned to hear more about them! 👀

Today, TETTRIX officially begins. 🌍 🌿 Building on the foundations of TETTRIs, TETTRIX will strengthen Europe’s taxonomic capacity by connecting knowledge, expertise, infrastructure, and communities to generate reliable, actionable biodiversity knowledge for science, policy and society. 🫱🏻‍🫲🏻

🟠 Wrap-up of the first day of TETTRIs Final Event Today we focused on advances in #AI-based tools for taxonomy, reference collections, and the relevance of genomic tools, with a special focus on the new #Marketplace as a key tool to connect experts and taxonomic services.

🎧 During the #TETTRIs project, innovative ways of engaging citizens were explored through music. Groups of young people took part in nature excursions alongside a biologist and musicians, encouraging them to observe, pause, and truly listen.

🟣Many women contribute to the future of taxonomy. Meet Amelie Höcherl, an early-career taxonomist working on parasitoid wasps (Microgastrinae) and recently involved in the description of a new species from the German Alps: Illidops oroseira #WomenInScience #Taxonomy
