(1/1) The best part of the Met Gala this year was seeing disability representation. Aariana Rose Philip, who has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, was the first wheelchair user to attend the Gala and Sinéad Burke, a disability activist, was a big part of that.

[life update] I’m a dad now! We welcomed our son a few months ago, and I’ve been spending all my free time with him—watching him grow. I’m loving every moment, but I do miss my sleep. He is my world. I probably won’t talk about him much on here, but I wanted to share the news with y’all. 😁

when you do something simple, something small for someone..whether it’s complimenting someone on bluesky, or telling someone at the grocery store you like their haircut, and they tell you “that made my day” — the best feeling ever. hope everyone has a great weekend!

Happy Friday! Just got accepted to serve on the Pride Board at work. I used to keep work and personal life separate, code switching to fit in. But with everything going on, I felt it was time to step up and help make work safer & more inclusive for the LGBTQ+ community I’m proud to be a part of. 🫶🏼

[tw] I just read Hanya Yanagihara's A Little Life and this excerpt took me out. When bad things happen so often, you assume you somehow attract these situations and that you deserved it. And when things are good, you don’t accept it because you’re waiting for the day it’s gone - knowing it’ll come.
