The Transformers episode of The Toys That Made Us shows pages from a Takara photo album of prototypes. Included are several iterations of Sandstorm. The patent diagrams match one of the Sandstorm prototypes very closely.

JeffS@mightgainedx.bsky.social · 4mo agoWhen vintage Jetfire prices are too expensive, just 3D print your own! This is Yabaya Jetfire scaled up 167%. It's a bit tougher to assemble, and the ratchet joints are extra tight, but it certainly looks the part!!
