So pleased these stamps, photographed by my friend Walt Seng, are being reissued on June 1. He passed away at the age of 80 in 2023. We were fortunate to have him as our official entertainment photogragrapher - he was the best! about.usps.com/newsroom/nat...

BESPOKE: “.. The only precedent for when the S&P 500 has been at record highs while fewer than 60% of stocks were above both their 50- and 200-day moving averages: December 1998-March 2000.”
F this asshole. So glad we renewed ours before this BS regime.
There was a shooting yesterday afternoon at a local Costco.
It's great how everyone believes every update from him, when he's purposely being kept in the dark by his own people. As always, he has no idea what is going on.
Very normal stuff. "Aides kept the president out of the room as they got minute-by-minute updates because they believed his impatience wouldn’t be helpful... "At one point Trump mused he should award himself the nation’s highest military honor, the Medal of Honor... www.wsj.com/politics/nat...
A little righteous anger from me about everything disgusting about Eric Swalwell and Tony Gonzales: -Democratic leadership wouldn't have done a damn thing if women hadn't spoken up -GOP leadership only kicked out Tony because Democrats kicked out Swalwell 1/ www.independent.co.uk/news/world/a...
Swalwell and Gonzales expose an ugly truth: Washington is built to protect creeps
The tight margins in Congress, raw power plays and a lack of political will constantly forces female victms to remain silent and women members of Congress to force their leaders to do the right thing,...

To be clear, while concealed carry is legal in MN, I am 100% on team "This was a drop gun" until definitely proof is otherwise offered, and the word of Fox News and federal agencies is insufficient.

1. This short thread is about the issue that dominates almost every aspect of politics, and causes or exacerbates most of our problems: the extreme wealth of a small number of people. Here’s the amazing thing: almost the entire political class aligns with the ultra-rich against the rest. 🧵1/10
The tech bros have forgotten that their success is not so much, about their personal brilliance, but about timing, and connections. Also, business success 25 does not make them all-knowing gods.
This man hit on me when I was barely 18 😑 (he was probably 24 at the time). And *he's* not tall enough for the Raggedy Andy ride. bsky.app/profile/kevi...
My man looks like he’s telling some unruly teens they’re too tall for the Raggedy Andy Ride
So the theoretical future vote will include abortion ban language - fantastic.
Democrats are likely to get a vote on an extension later. But they've already gotten similar votes. Republicans already vowing to block an extension without major changes to the ACA, like adding Hyde language.
Yet another reason I'm very, very glad I no longer fly every week for a living.
Sean Duffy: "The secretary of war texted me yesterday and said, 'I might have some air traffic controllers. If you could use them, I'm gonna offer them to you.' I don't know that I can, Jake, because they're not certified in the airspaces that we need them. But if I can, I'm going to use them."
As soon as possible after ousting them, every single transgression (especially ones that used to be "norms") by this administration – and in particular – this president, needs to be explicitly written into the US code.
In last week there's been a shift in GOP messaging to argue that this is all about illegal immigrants or gender transition surgeries, but no Democratic leader has demanded such funding. They've demanded *a negotiation* to protect health care benefits, not any one way to do it.
Yup. This is every "dream job": 10% doing the thing, 90% doing everything else required to get to do that 10%.
I've got a photographer friend, and so many folks think it must be lovely to just show up, take a few pictures and get paid, without considering the thousands of hours that go into self promotion, handling finances, networking, and all the many things that aren't taking pictures.
When the history of this time is written down, the cowardice will be remembered as much as the fascism
Of the three presidential campaigns against Trump, two (2016 and 2024) made elaborate appeals to centrists at the expense of their relationship with progressives, and only one (2020) prioritized efforts to bridge the gap with progressives, however impermanently. The latter approach won.
