A dog and her human 🐾🐾💙 Peace and one love ✌️❤️

I went to catholic grade/high school though I was never much of a catholic (understatement 🤣🤣🤣). Interesting to come across this post on FB (keep it for family, rarely go there) posted by the Sisters of Charity, who ran my gradeschool back in the dark ages. Go, Sisters! ✊

Text of Sisters of Charity, New York FB post:
"Hail Mary, full of grace.
Help us find the courage to confront injustice, the compassion to stand with the vulnerable, and the faith to resist cruelty wherever it takes hold. May we never confuse obedience to power with faithfulness to God. Amen.❤️"

Fascinating thread on the #geology and the current look of eastern #Washington. Beneath that basalt lava and those thin soils there’s also the history of the Whitman Mission and the Nez Perce.🧪 The "sick" land Emily Lakdawalla describes has more layers than you see at first glance.

Today I flew into Spokane, WA and drove 3 hours to stay with my aunt in Walla Walla. This is the east end of Washington state, a route I haven’t driven before. It’s all basalt lava with a thin veneer of weathered soil. It’s a weird landscape, geologically.
