cycling and walking, nerdery, food & drink, probably the odd train. PhD (medical physics). she/her 📍Stockport, UK

I have been to Decathlon for (hopefully) last few bits ahead of my week-long camp and I'm now testing the solar charger. Here's hoping it isn't cloudy the whole time!

Three panel foldable solar charger leaning against a sun lounger on a lawn.

Shopkeepers love to whine "but passing trade" when the council want to bin off parking for a cycle lane but where's the moan when cyclists are sent round the houses away from where all the shops are?

Probably a silly question because NOBODY HAS ANY MONEY but does anyone know of like a (UK) fund you can apply to towards an ebike for disabled people? I think it would do my mental and physical health the world of good if I could get out again in a manageable way but they're so bloody expensive 😩

Chuckling at the baby 6 music presenter marvelling at how in 2001 we were limited to only listening to albums and CDs. Bless! Fairly sure I had an *extensive* MP3 collection at that point, acquired via means of varying legality (okay probably all illegal but not all downloaded)

A day of 2001 tracks and it's Pyramid Song that's first to completely transport me back in time. I remember a (post-GCSE, super extended) summer in the garden reading my way through a Penguin classics boxset and feeling all intellectual.

Pretty sure I mentioned this a while back but if anyone in the NW wants to know when this dry spell will be *properly* over... I am going camping for a week in Cheshire from a week on Saturday so there we are.

Oh good. Yet again I've been locked out of apps on my work phone for "compliance". I've triple checked the system requirements and the current OS version (literally just spent a day getting it to download) is most definitely >> required OS version. Totally not going insane here.
