The 'War on Weeds' is in full swing. This summer they have heavy duty helicopters spraying all over Iowa. The haze is awful. They are even refueling and reloading in parking lots in public/urban areas right next to highways. I've seen one landing just outside of work. This is not ideal.

The irony of commenters taking the meme literally WHILE acting it out AND thinking Benn would simply give in to the right for money is insane. I clocked it: "I'm finding it amusing how people fall for division so easily instead of thinking about changing people's minds." Division fuels the right-

The tornado warned storm that was headed towards my store yesterday!
Arrived in Lansing, IA just in time on Wednesday to observe what I can only assume was a ceremony for placing the final beam on the new Blackhawk bridge before road construction officially began.
I was in Lansing on Wednesday and saw my first amended speed sign on the way out of town; a 55 mph sign with a 60 slapped over it. I can only imagine the confusion people are experiencing and will be experiencing going forwards. We were stuck in the Nixon era oil crisis while other states sped up.
Here are some of the new Iowa laws taking effect Wednesday, including restricted access to abortion medication, increased speed limits on two-lane highways and limits on future governors’ powers during emergencies, Robin Opsahl reports. iowacapitaldispatch.com/2026/06/30/t...

If you were to count out a million seconds, it would take you 11 and a half days. A billion seconds would take you 31.7 years. But a trillion seconds would take 31,700 years — to reach that point today, you would have needed to start counting around the time that neanderthals went extinct.
A trillion dollars is a stupid amount of money
No one man should have all that power.
