Happy Thanksgiving, Carrock Smial! Thankful for the community we have built together and the fellowship we have enjoyed this year. Wishing you all a great day, however you are spending it.

Braved public transit to Pleasanton to meet up with some Bay Area Carrock Smial folks at the Inklings cafe. A bit of a trek, but worth it for Tolkien or Lewis fans to check out. @thecarrocksmial.bsky.social

We had a really great discussion last night at our October meeting. The theme was "terrifying Tolkien." We read some poetry, had a really interesting talk about Tolkien's use of the word "horror" vs. "terror," the different types of horror, and the Watcher in the Water.
