It’s been incredibly smoky round here, just south of Manchester, which hasn’t been the best. I did however get some photos of the incredible smoky sunset yesterday. Taken on my Canon 600D, F7 or so.
When I was a kid I used to like reading illustrated books about the future. In none of those was it depicted the time and impotent frustration I would sink into endlessly signing in to things. I was promised amazing things, and instead the whole literate species became administrators of banality.

A childhood hero gone. Jurassic Park was the film of my childhood and Sam Neill gave me an early example of a calm, resourceful, kind and ethical adult that sticks with me to this day. He seemed like a really good man with a good calm line to the universe. Very sad news. Well earned rest.
