...and the Bit-ee for Best Toy of 2025 goes to the Hono Studios Iron Man! Sculpted and painted to perfection as if it leaped right off the page, this thing is nothing short of a masterpiece with medical grade silicone seamless limbs and a LED light up arc reactor, cant get better
Its hard to top this one for me, Hot Toys really came out swinging this year by taking on more comic inspired figures and this Doom is simply a masterpiece. Its so much fun to pose and looks so good pretty much any way you display him.
Another left field surprise right at the tail end of the year, Gong Studios, owned by Popmart of all places are giving Mezco a serious run for their money in the 1:12 scale. The wired cape on this thing is insane!
There's a case to be made that this is one of Hot Toys best ever releases. Not only does it look scarily accurate to the on screen look but allowing the shoulder pads to be placed on the sleeveless version just to allow comic fans to complete the more page accurate look is clutch
Threezero continues to be masters of engineering articulated die cast frames and this compact Arcee is another standout from their DLX Bumblebee line. Such an awesome design that got such little screen time rendered with so much love and skill.
The first Hot Toy figure of 2025 i received and still one of the best. Meticulously assembled with different materials to achieve that screen accurate cobbled together look that really made the suit in The Batman stand out.
Not my usual type of collectible but this design is kismet. Such a fantastic translation of the classic xenomorph into the visual language of the Monster High series. Those face hugger heels! She literally ate that shit up.
The first of many Hot Toys figures on this list, its still hard to believe that so many Rebels characters are now available in 1/6th scale, let alone rendered with such loving detail. This may be the single best headsculpt Hot Toys put out last year.
This thing caught me by surprise, initially only intended to use this for a Halloween costume and then return it but the overall quality was so high it has earned its place on my shelf.
