Professional Computer Toucher. Thinks he can release a video game some day. Doesn't have a podcast, and neither should you. Streams games just about every day on Twitch - https://www.twitch.tv/thedarthmoogle/

haven't animated anything for years - when making prototypes I valued just making things work, which is fine and all but sometimes you need some close to done art to really sell yourself on an idea. I want to do sword things for this experiment, but am practicing on gun first. Into the engine next!

when I finally thought of something to make, it turned out all my nerd friends had already ditched their 3d printers. just so happens my boss wanted to get rid of theirs, and now it's mine! it seems to be an okay-ish one? making a 2cm test cube to see how it goes

made watermelon jam, then put it in some little tarts. the internet article that said I didn't need pectin was a total lie, even after boiling to death it won't set. but still, tastes great

a small jam tart on a cutting board, with a rolling pin and cookie cutter beside it

thinking of a company I used to work for that burned a third of their employees, myself included, to get several failed FDA approvals through the door only to just succeed in time for the agency to be nuked from orbit and the tarrifs making it almost certainly unprofitable to operate there... lmao

Bullet jump sliding back into Warframe after about a year and still in awe at how batshit the story presentation is. How the big flashy main quest just blasts through new concepts and expects you to roll with it. Until, you slow down, do a little digging, and it becomes so deceptively simple.

I know am a serial Not Getting The Hint offender, but at this point I realise it's been several years of 'man that thing we did was fun' and then me not organising another round of it because no one directly told me they wanted it

Tried some Copilot today after struggling with some automation and it's still a load of shite. But I can see how powerful a managing upwards tool it is - if your boss believes Snowcrash is an instruction manual then 'AI says do it this way' is a cheat code to getting what you want.

Final ham update! Finished overnight, not as pink as I wanted but it had been frozen before cooking. Finished with sea salt and a malt vinegarette, topped with gem lettuce.

team went for coffee, I pushed for a tiny independent place in an old building, with just enough room for us all. I completely forgot the layout, specifically the heating arrangement. we're just huddled up there still with our coats on in front of a teeny electric fan heater. excellent coffee tho

Played tanks! Got some incredible feedback from the board game devs, and they even wanted to play twice which still has me reeling. Made lots of notes, and I'm putting this in front of two completely different crowds later this month, which could produce completely different results! #rpg #gamedev

A photo of a tabletop role-playing game. One player is moving a tiny model of a tank around a hexagonal board. The board is surrounded by character sheets, dice and pencils.

Taking the tiny tanks to a board game dev's meetup later. last time I went every one of them was a seasoned pro unlike us losers in the indie gamedev meetup. Still, the feedback was great and encouraging and I didn't get any hint that I was a fool for trying, so hopefully they like the updated game!

I've admired Deus Ex's commitment core world building idea of 'what if every conspiracy theory was actually true', and often wondered what repeating that idea would look like >20 years later. Playing Ready Or Not, it seems the answer is "it would look completely rancid". Fun game though!

Bones! Saving the tracks for later because I still need to plan out the IK for them, and it's gonna be a hell of a lot easier to add this many bones in Blender (each piece of track and link is gonna need one D:) The experimental UE tools for doing this are neat though! #unrealengine #gamedev

The Helldivers grand Galactic War, centred around players choosing which planets to attack is great in theory, but is completely non-functional when you look at what the crowd is doing - constantly attacking planets they cannot ever actually conquer

Thinking of kicking off streams again from Monday because 1) I am addicted to Helldivers b) I'm looking at my game code from 4 months ago wondering what sort of crack I was on when I wrote this
