Yesterday I hiked up Haystack Mtn in the Uintas for a #hamradio #SOTA activation. Good day. I talked to Christian F4WBN in France, a couple of guys on mountains in BC and CO, among others. Lots of boulder hopping on the ridge. Wildfire smoke cleared later in the day. A fun day of hiking and radio.

The peak on the right is Baldy Mountain, #SOTA summit reference W7U/UT-010, and the more distant peak to the left is unnamed ridge W7U/UT-019. I completed activations on both yesterday, setting up my portable HF radio station and making a minimum of four contacts with hams. #hamradio #hiking #utah

I got up at 3am this morning to start hiking to the summit of Mt Timpanogos. I took these photos for the #shittycamerachallenge using my Pentax Optio M30. I also took along my Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II micro 4/3 camera to shoot some more serious photos. After that hike, my legs are destroyed. Arrg!
