Not sure if this is a hot take. But using a deceased person's likeness in AI generated works is the equivalent of reanimating their corpse. It's disgusting that AI is being used to make people do things without their consent, but doing the same thing to people who have passed away is uncalled for..

I sometimes think about what could've been when it comes to cut content from media. Spyro - Enter The Dragonfly for example, had lots of cut content due to development issues. These tall trees in the home world were actually textures for one of the levels scrapped from the final game.
