#3439 The Dragon of the Lake offers you a choice, but which is the correct path?

There is also text that reads 'Our quest is brought to a halt and we find ourselves at a crucial junction. The dragon of the lake has emerged and told us to choose a path. One way leads to a major obstacle that will surely bring our quest to an end, and the other, just a minor inconvenience that we can deal with swiftly.

To make things more complicated the dragon has insisted we must rely on our ears and cross the lake wearing a blindfold.

However, we figured out we could just memorise the series of half steps and whole steps needed to get from stone to stone.

As long as we don’t trip on these roots at the start we should be fine.
The only question is, which is the correct path?'

#2885 Uh oh! Which block will complete the circuit and open the door?

A puzzle with 4 blocks with glyphs on them, and one space in a circuit to place one of them. The circuit has 7 other blocks already in place.
The text reads:
'It’s no use!
We can’t pry it open, these doors seems to be sealed together. It looks like this strange panel is the only thing that'll separate them, but I think we’re gonna have to be sure which of these weird blocky keys is the right one to fit in that bottom slot. We’ve only got one shot though. There’s no budging any of these keys that are already in the circuit so once we pick one, we’re locked in! There must be some logic to it, right?'

'Ahh yes, last year's hat sale. I remember it fondly. We sold out very quickly. You see, everyone was looking for a hat that either matched their boot colour or their head shape, and they all managed to leave with one that worked for them. ONLY TWO people left with the perfect hats that matched both boots AND heads, though.

#2918 Friendly Flowers and Ravenous Roots

There is text that reads:
I have to cross this lawn, but Old Earl, the groundskeeper warned me of ravenous roots lurking under the surface. I must find a path that avoids walking over them or I’ll be plant food. Luckily it's a very neat lawn and everything conforms to a strict grid. Old Earl planted some of these friendly flowers so people can cross the lawn.

The flowers stop ravenous roots from growing under those squares, while also detecting which of the 8 surrounding squares have ravenous
roots growing under them, and they grow a leaf for each dangerous square. Though be aware, multiple flowers could be detecting the same dangerous square. I'm assured the flowers will show the safe path across, but I’m not to disturb the flowers by walking on their
squares as they’re very sensitive.

Oh also, Old Earl said that roots don’t grow below these rocks. I asked why he didn’t just line a path with the rocks but he seemed offended I would suggest such a thing. In any case, the rocks are slippery so I can't just skirt around the edge.

One last thing, I'm told it's dangerous to move diagonally. I think Old Earl is messing with me, but I'd better not risk it.

As adults we're told playing is childish, but I truly believe allowing yourself to play is one of the keys to happiness and creativity. I have been playing with paper recently and it boosted my art. I wanna get me some wooden toys and lego now. Playing is not just for kids, it's for everyone! ✨🌼
