Yes, it may be September, and yes, it might be raining, but do you really think that's going to stop me enjoying a (just) post summer evening? Absolutely not.
People say they care about mental health and tell people to 'reach out' until they actually see the signs of a struggle. Then they tend to scarper, placing the emphasis on the other person to wave the mayday flag. No one should have to 'reach out'; if folks just stuck around they wouldn't need to.
