After seeing Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla doing MMA sparring, I think it’s only fair we get Joe Mazzulla vs. Hurricanes coach Rod Brind’Amour in an actual MMA fight. Book it.

The fact that Ron MacLean’s joke made it all the way to air says more about hockey culture than anything else. People often wonder why the NHL trails other major leagues in popularity. I think the culture surrounding the sport is holding it back. It’s time to clean house and start from scratch.

A walk-off homer and a walk-off grand slam just happened almost at the exact same time. In a normal MLB season, we’d be talking about this for a week. In 2026, it’s just another Wednesday in baseball’s ongoing fever dream.
