I'm disgusted and annoyed to my core when I run into a company that refuses to take any accountability for fk ups. It's one thing to have irrational policies & accept accountability for them, and quite another when a company lies to consumers and doesn't do anything to rectify it when called out.

The thing is ... the people who bother to be serious about building expertise and understanding which problems need solving, and at which point, in which ways, are usually a really different group from the ones white supremacists and patriarchalists center. it's counterproductive to erase them. There's an eagerness and a frequency to this claim that sheds light on why so many people enable truly shitty behavior and excuse themselves for it. Sometimes they proactively stab the victim in the back and call themselves the good guys. It's pervasive & reeks of whiteness. Those men can fck off.

Congress ultimately controls appropriations; they need to hear that the OOI isn't wasteful spending, it's public infrastructure that's just as important as our roads, weather forecasting, and emergency management.

Marginalized folks know TONE and LANGUAGE CHOICE are only part of what’s being communicated. But those in the power majority are accustomed to spaces that value and demand the faux nicety of polite tones no matter the core message being shared. To them, sounding angry makes you wrong in any event.
