Micrographs of two Drosophila melanogaster pupal cases. The left pupal case is slightly larger than the right. The left pupal case is marked uncrowded, and the right is marked crowded. A 1mm line is above the pupal cases for scale. Both are males reared on low nutrition; the left is from a vial with 50 larvae, the right is from a vial with 200 larvae.
