You can dislike a well designed game, and love a badly designed one TASTE AND CRAFT ARENT THE SAME MEASUREMENT! Game Doc reviews go beyond “I liked it” or “I dont like it.” Player feedback identifies the symptoms Game Doctor reviews uncover the root causes creating them. 1/4

Ill be doing a PUBLIC live DEEP DIVE for my clients game! You get to be a fly on the wall, peek into conversations you should be having around your game but never have The type of convos that take you away from "we are listening" and "great feedback" Start in 30 👇 #gamedev

The Game Doctor work is going to set this whole industry on fire and I'm here for it!! This is a rock n roll takeover. People around the space will just continue to make better games, this is the point My clients arent getting "lucky" they control the narrative Level up 🍬

You can have the most “correct” systems on paper… …and still make a game that feels slow, confusing, or exhausting to play. Because players don’t experience your design doc. They experience how it feels minute to minute. Getting a unattached trained vision is the key #gamedev 🗝️

My clients released/releasing games the next couple weeks! 🥳 First up: Underboard @Headless_Games @2_left_thumbs (1/3) Zainey and Colorful take on a Autobattler roguelike You get the stats and numbers to bend and break while still being digestible. Combat feels really crunch!

This is an excellent opportunity to get some free gamedev coaching from Esty. I can highly recommend him, he's proofen his sense for analytical thinking multiple times to me already.

If you reach out to me with your games I WILL be able to tell you (before release, earlier the better) #gamedev -around where it will land -its friction points -its magic moments -what problems you will be worrying about from "community feedback" -if you should push harder or get it out the door

Demos #gamedevs are GREAT with a big if IF your game is good. Its the same with everything If you try a sample and you dont care for it are you likely to eat from there ? If its good, its often a no brainer they will pick it up. The "too generous" of a demo thing is often fake.

A lot of games don’t fail because of budget, marketing, or luck. They fail because the fundamentals and planning quietly break player trust in the first 10 minutes. The scary part? Most teams never realize that’s what happened.

A game is offering $$$ for people to get views on videos I get it, teams want visibility But the sad part is we pour money into advertising while avoiding the work that would make visibility actually matter That product work is cheaper And it’s the part that changes outcomes 👇

The Changing part 2 🧶 Im BEGGING to get to a place where: Devs ask questions early Ego isn’t the blocker Skills and fundamentals are the foundation Marketing becomes an amplifier, not a crutch Teams realize that most problems ARE solvable with the right conversations 1-

This WILL happen SOON (Thread 🧶) For #gamedevs SOON someone way louder then me will start the conversation that games outcome is determined by skills and fundamentals. Success in game development is built on skill and fundamentals, not wishlists, not algorithms, not luck 1-

There’s this deep fear in #gamedev that “outsiders” only show up to tell you what to do That fear didn’t come from nowhere — years of Early Access trained devs to brace for a flood of feedback from players who demand things but rarely understand design or vision 1/3

I've been #solodev ing for years now... Watching my hair develop on its own, collecting feedback, watching tutorials, checking analytics and cutting it all myself ✂️ and the results? ... Lets just say patches have been frequent and uneven edges you could call a aesthetic choice
