Just had a phone call out of the blue from Asda, asking me why I haven’t shopped there in a year and what they can do to lure me back. Thanks for the call Asda, you can now rest assured that I’m never shopping with you again. Bozos.

This is a post about The Durutti Column. *Durutti Column plays on the radio* Me: “Ooh, what’s this wonky guitar thing, this is excellent!” *Thirty seconds pass* Me: “Jesus Suffering Christ, will this tedious annoying bloody music never end?” THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.

The coffee machine, which we inherited when my Dad died, gave a hellish scream this morning then seemed to do itself an incredible self harm, snapping some of its internal plastic bits off then flashing all its warning lights at us. ⚠️ Terrifying and confusing stuff. Happy Monday everyone.

Morning Team. These are the best days, get up, touch grass, drink a bit more water, read a couple of pages from a book and see if you can use what’s in the cupboard and fridge creatively to make a wee meal or a cake or something while you listen to the radio. Dr Geoff’s Sunday instructions ends.

I'm really (really) struggling to find Good Things To Listen To for some reason nowadays. So if you want to suggest some music, podcasts, radio, audiobooks, yodelling, whatever then go ahead, you'd be doing me a favour.

Today I am sad because yesterday I bought a Bop It in a charity shop. I cleaned it up and put new batteries in but it didn’t work. So I only got to play one quick game of Bin It. The charity shop Bop It search continues.

Started the day today with some gentle exercises to improve mobility and movement. (i.e. I just smashed my little toe against a barbell that Mrs McQ left on my side of the bed and hopped to the first aid kit to get it wrapped up before I bled all over the carpet.)

I just listened to a BBC podcast and, at the end of it, heard a trailer for another BBC podcast about the Lockerbie bombing. I can’t tell you how devastating to my life it’s been to live through that event and have it continually reappear in documentaries and dramas etc forever. 1/2
