I saw these clear backing boards for comic books, and man, I would love this for some wraparound covers like all the Who's Who comic or the JLA/A comic... but it's so expensive. $32 for 25. Anyone bought these? Are they worth it? Do they suck/break/foggy? amzn.to/4gbAkxz
Read Marv Wolfman's introduction to George Perez's New Teen Titans Artist's Edition. The book finally got a wide release recently. >>> I miss George. He was taken from us far too early. He'd been a creator and work partner, but much more important, a... www.thegeorgeperez.com/interviews/g...
Need help identify artist and date. The style looks like Stuart Immonen, possibly around 2010. Ha.com does not offer any details, other than that the owner is Wizard Magazine. I'm assuming it was meant for publication in their magazine. www.thegeorgeperez.com/homages/cris...
Please visit the link - I need Crisis #12 homages, recolors, re-draw, remixed, etc. Here is a high resolution cover of #12. Never noticed Vigilante before! www.thegeorgeperez.com/homages/cris...

Marvel X Super Comics ShoPro #4 (1996) - Japanese Language (mostly) - Anthology-Type, extra thick book that utilizes thicker paper-stock on the covers and interiors - which makes the book a bit bougie. Your eyes are being straight with you www.ebay.com/itm/16858145... Thanks to Ilke Hincer
I have a ton to add later (such as MONSTER SQUAD (1987) and BOARDING SCHOOL (2018)) - but here is what I'm working on: www.thegeorgeperez.com/news/movies-... I know I'm missing a lot - so feel free to send me some to add

Here is Mike Carlin's cover design for Action Comics #650. This detail is taken from the recent Superman: Brainiac Reborn Omnibus (July 2026) Imagine the Alien with a New York accent: That's six-fifty, Pal!!! amzn.to/4ww2Kbq
Once again, good old reliable Neal Adams was called in to re-do the cover. The original House of Mystery #251 cover by Jose-Luis Garcia-Lopez and Bernie Wrightson. It was deemed too gruesome according to the Comics Code. FYI: I thought DC Finest Horror was VERY very tame compared to EC.
I imported my transcription of George Perez's letter from CBG #943. Please read - you'll discover some interesting items such as "When I worked for Marvel in the 1970s, practically all my covers were designed by Marie Severin, John Romita Sr., or Ed Hannigan." www.thegeorgeperez.com/interviews/c...
Note: I am only looking for art not seen in the link I have updated the Crisis #7 Homages (see link below). I tried to group them by comic book covers, media (video, magazines), then interior/oddities, stand-alone artwork, and then photographs www.thegeorgeperez.com/homages/cris...
I've imported the George Perez interview from Fantazia #14 (1991), that I transcribed a long time ago. It's having formatting issues caused by Google's codes. When I have more time I'll fix the spaces - but if you can't wait, read it in the link below. www.thegeorgeperez.com/interviews/f...
DC Comics had a great Gil Kane JLA #81 cover ready to go, but the editor needed it to be changed (I think it has to do with Flash's head and the wing tip), so they hired Neal Adams to re-draw the cover. Also: Seems silly that Atom can just walk through the bars
Mike Carlin writes: We “flopped” the art so the action reads left-to-right… and whenever that was done with characters with asymmetrical costumes (like Robin)… or characters like Superman the letter “S” & “S-Curl” hair had to be redone on/with photostats DC... www.thegeorgeperez.com/news/2026
George Perez is well represented on the Stuart Fails to Save the Universe podcast They have a podcast for the new HBO series, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe. They use a couple of Perez cover pieces in the background from New Teen Titans #1 & JLA #217 www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqPi...
One of the bonus in the new Superman: Brainiac Reborn Omnibus is seeing the original art of Action 648. What I want to know is how did they get his hair and S Shield right, when they flipped the image??? amzn.to/4fyfVTp
If I were to guess why this Denys Cowan cover on the left was rejected - it is probably that eye-ray, which makes him look like he has some x-ray vision powers. The published cover is much better to convey Jericho's powers.
There are varying degrees to the Amazon coupons - the highest I've seen is 30% off. If you see some good coupon deals - let me know. Coupon expires on August 3. Here are the books I see - WW Silver Age vol 3 looks good for $45. Interested in Marvel Universe Handbook amzn.to/4fPvBR7
You guys know that I'm always looking for ways to store my comic. I came across this wooden box design for $34. I'm interested, but... not I'm not sure if I like that mesh metal design. It's cheaper than BCW (which is the Gold Standard for me - but they are just too pricey at $40). amzn.to/4wjNC09
Here is George Perez's rejected cover for Green Lantern #145. Editorial decided to go with Joe Staton's cover. Per letter page: You may have noticed something a wee bit different about this letters page - mainly the tiny George Pérez cover directly below www.thegeorgeperez.com/news/2026
I am re-uploading George Perez's art of Spider-Woman Animated Series from 1979.
Image on the left is Mike Mignola's rejected artwork for Batman Black and White Vol 2. I think it's because you don't immediate recognize it's Batman... so a re-draw was necessary to show the Batman emblem Let me know if you want more of these, otherwise this might be the last
The Stuart Fails To Save The Universe comic book at San Diego Comic-Con was a big hit. As was the news from Jim Lee that DC Comics superhero characters would appear in the spinoff from The Big Bang Theory. But the show will also appear.... bleedingcool.com/comics/stuar... Thanks to John C
So there you see above, my copy of the original Justice League of America #200 from 1981, propped up there against a copy of the new Justice League of America #200 treasury-sized facsimile edition due out in your better comic shops this week www.progressiveruin.com/2026/07/29/a... thanks to Ilke
I saw this Flash Fastest Man Alive at Ollies, which includes Flashpoint. I am assuming it reprints the inked George Perez variant covers. I didn't buy it (already have Flashpoint in a better format). It's discounted to $15.If you don't live near Ollie, Amazon has it for cheap-ish amzn.to/4x9QP2V
Did you know that Marvel hired George Perez to do some Spider-Woman promotional artwork for the 1979 cartoon? The cartoon was released on VHS in the USA. The DVD came out in the UK in 2009.
I find this kind of thing really cool. Gil Kane originally drew the cover to Secret Origins #2 and some adjustments needed to be made to the cover. I'm assuming they couldn't get Kane to do it on a tight schedule, so they got Ricardo Villagran to do the cover - and he signed it Kane & Villagran.
