When I was 16, I told my mother I wanted to go to university to study psychology and she said no, because we couldn’t afford it. I had to go to work instead. So this is a very good thing. Had this sort of support been in place back then, my life would be much better today, I just know it.

Households can currently lose between £17 and £330 a week in benefit payments when a young person starts an apprenticeship.

Oh I just had a bit of a spooky experience. Casper, an indoor cat, got out on the kitchen roof from a bedroom window. I was keeping an eye and gently coaxing him back in and then I heard a lady calling him a pretty kitty and telling him to go back in, but there was nobody there.

We've reached a point where AI chatbots have taken on the role usually set aside for psychic mediums. Talking to the dead, and making it seem they're talking back. Here, I examine a recent paper exploring the results of this sort of exchange. www.theghostgeek.com/p/are-we-cre...

Are We Creating Digital Memorials… or Digital Mediums?

When an AI chatbot imitates the voice of someone who has died, what happens when grief makes it feel uncannily real?

AI griefbots don’t need to convince us that the dead have returned. Recently published research suggests they may only need to sound right often enough that the difference begins to feel less important, and that's a little chilling... www.theghostgeek.com/p/are-we-cre...

I will never forget how a lot of readers to my blog came from the SPR sharing my articles. And then they stopped because 2-3 men continued to be abusive about me in the comments on their Facebook page. They didn't get removed or banned, though. So I lost a bunch of readers. So, that was nice.

I'm (slowly) writing about the latest update in research into the effects of AI griefbots and I can't believe that half the sentences I'm writing are real. They sound like sci-fi nonsense. 18-year-old me who was a ghost hunter in the 00s would not believe this was real stuff, for sure.
