Watching Maul: Shadow Lord what strikes me the most is how visually striking SW Animation is compared to how visually flat and uninteresting SW Live Action has become (with the one obvious exception)

He/Him. Likes enjoying things and other unfashionable opinions. Cats, hobbies, games and movies, mostly. Self-Described Fluffy Qualified Accountant.
I have a great idea for an PC ir NPC name if we ever do a "Swinging Sixties" setting....either a superspy or rock star, not sure which.
I see Bluesky is reacting to Bluesky wanting more people on Bluesky in the most Bluesky way possible.
Also like, you don't need that. You just don't. Puzzles are for *characters* to solve, not *players* because its not a fucking escape room.
"I'm entitled to whatever I want whenever I want it for any reason and I don't care what satisfying these urges does to me or the world" well okay dude, seems like there's something deeper going on here, but that's just my take
Sure, no one wants to go to the office on a Monday but if you do, its important you are greeted by the Tiny Dog That Works On Reception and comes out from behind their desk to inspect everyone who comes through the door.
Afternoon gaming, and yes its another "cute animal engine builder" our families preferenced genre. I came third, dammit.
More things to paint now I've got less time and energy to do it. Sigh.
A movie about aliens thats actually about Faith. I rather liked it, its got a lot.on its mind and like a lot of late Spielberg its got an ethereal look thats pretty distinctive. Interesting thats its been a bit divisive though, it either captures you or really doesn't, it seems.
So many filmmakers try and imitate Spielbergs gift with emotional shot composition but so few manage it. Its startling how good he is at it.
2 and a half hours of the most gorgeous action animation you are ever going to see coupled to a serviceable plot that will make little sense if you've not seen the series. I liked it!
Movie Night (Big Weeb Edition)
This attitude frustrates and amazes me because I drive the kids to school and places, and those "just us" moments are where we end up discussing all sorts of wierd shit and sometimes - vitally - its where they open up on the Big Things They're Worried About.
Men will invent the Torment Nexus rather than talk to their kids.

Rather enjoyed Strange New Words: Event Horizon edition.
Todays challenge is which corporation should I use for the wallpaper on my new work phone?
I mean, this ws the best thing they'd put out in years so this decision tracks.
Marvel's Wonder Man TV series has been canceled and will not return for its planned second season. https://bit.ly/4fE07Nv
So in hobby new I've agreed to paint up this bad boy for a mate. Whilst looking at it, the print has channels to light the engines....so anyone know anything about LED kits?
I see the newspapers have started to roll out their traditional think pieces of "why you are wrong to have enjoyed that thing you liked, by me, a superior intellect"
Some recent light reading. Its got loads of cool art from the comics and the system is probably dreadful.
Desperately eating more Lotus Flowers so I can forget The Odyssey discourse and just enjoy the experience of the fucking movie.
Sometimes I see discourse about a person and i've never heard of them and dont know what the discourse is about but the tone of it is strangely comforting because I know that I am happier for not knowing.
Nostalgic kick to hear this on @greatesthitsuk.bsky.social this morning that me and the missus singing along. Also this is from the 90s? Jesus Christ. youtu.be/Jjd1mfhIVEk?...

I think i prefer cinema discourse when people try to advocate for wierd shit that they love, rather than yell at each other about false objective standards like they've been hit in the head with an Oar.
Anyway, The Odyssey is as good as they say it is, and you should definitely try and see it on a big screen. Standouts for me were the bits with Circe, Hades and [spoiler] at the end that made me emotional.
