This always made me chuckle too. If the rich wanted to live ANYWHERE else, they would. You’d have to drastically change their quality of life for the worse before they’d move. Thinking they’d switch 8% to 7% assumes scarcity of resources. That sort of thinking that comes from… the general populace.

Its power waned for the usual, mundane reasons: widening gap between rich and poor, inability to maintain infrastructure, incompetent leadership, pointless wars, endless persecution of marginalized groups who performed vital labor, etc.
Well, I’ve went and done it, and now I have to face the consequences. My #dnd gaming therapy group was too successful, and I have to double my offerings at the clinic going into the next school year to meet demand for services. Gods help me. #therapysky
