One of the more interesting parts of my bluesky experience is occasionally seeing two people I follow with so wildly different opinions on a recent film/tv show/game that I wonder if they even saw the same thing. Then I check it out myself and wonder if any of the three of us did.

I also thought about these guys when I recently replayed the original Wing Commander, a game from 36 years ago, that has a varied cast of people of all different ethnicities and genders in the 80s/90s Star Trek style that it just presents as the default without commenting on it.

It's funny when you see some anti-woke chud being like 'modern games suck because of this stuff' because it outs them as outrage merchants who don't play many games. Like my dude as a consumer we would still be in a golden age of video games even if you excluded all the ones with 'woke' elements.

Given the Harry Potter slavery stuff is coming up again, the weirdest part is that the series introduced a slave desperate to escape captivity in one book, showed it as an absolute moral good when he was freed, THEN WENT BACK IN ANOTHER BOOK and was like 'no actually he was weird this shit rules'

You can tell I had a radically different experience playing Pathologic 2 and Pathologic 3 because I replayed 2 half a dozen times before feeling prepared to make a video on it and with 3 I honestly feel like it would be more interesting not to replay it at all before trying to write something.

I'm reminded of how Ben Shapiro's crew of shit heads wanted to do a documentary where they would try and use this same bullshit to get themselves into womens sports, only to discover that the only way they would be let in is if they actually medically transitioned and had to make it fiction instead.

Royce White on Fox News: "I'm just having a blast in my feminine area. I never thought I was a woman. I've always trusted science and thought I was a man, but after further review, a strong look at my personal preferences, it would appear I am indeed sometimes identifying as a transgender woman"

[the word paradise derives from the Avestan Iranian word pairidaeza which means walled park and more specifically referred to a kind of achaemenid garden]

Folks it's fine to not want to have kids, the odds are good I won't have them either, but if you regularly bring up that you don't like children and are rude and dismissive of them whenever they're around then I'm going to consider you an incredibly shitty and immature person.

It's wild how long that whole 'i don't want equality of outcome instead we should have equality of opportunity' talking point stuck around when everyone using it was a right winger who would then immediately follow it up by arguing for policies designed to also prevent equality of opportunity.
