Happy 3 year anniversary to Elden Ring! Which in my humble opinion is one of the best games ever made.

(VERY) Early impressions of Orcs Must Die: DeathTrap ✅ Traps and core combat are as fun as ever ✅ Upgrade paths will add to replay value ➖Maps are designed for a team, so solo play is a lesser experience ❌ Character designs are bleh at best ❌ Graphically unimpressive

It’s OK to buy games at launch. It’s OK to buy games on sale. It’s OK to play games via a subscription service. It’s OK to borrow games from your friends. It’s not OK to shame others for how they access gaming. Financial situations are different for everyone. Be kind about it.

Platinum 54/55: Sonic Frontiers (PS4/PS5 versions) SF was a decent Sonic game. Open world format worked well enough and the classic style levels were a treat. That said some awful camera angles, jank and technical hiccups held it back. Oh and the voice acting. Yikes.

The Xbox Developer Direct was awesome today! - South of Midnight looks good - Everything else looks great - All day 1 on GamePass - Ninja Gaiden 2 Black stealth drop today! - PlayStation peeps will be able to enjoy them all too Good times for both camps of gamers ahead 💚💙

Backlog games I’m going to tackle this year:

53rd Platinum: Marvel Rivals I can’t believe I was able to acquire this platinum trophy but BOOM here we go. Just goes to show this old man has some fight in him just yet. Marvel Rivals reminded how much of a blast a PvP game can be when it’s made with fun as the focus.

I’ve barely played any of the games on my backlog since Marvel Rivals dropped. I’m gonna end up beating 0 games this month due to this. Oh well lol can’t deny I’ve had so much fun with this!

4 video games that changed my gamer life: - Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt (Got me into gaming) - Final Fantasy 7 (Got me to love PS) - Gears of War (Got me to love Xbox) - Dark Souls 2 SotFS (Got me hooked to Soulsborne)

Passed the 100+ wins mark in Marvel Rivals and loving every minute. 105 wins out of 180 matches so a 58% win rate. Not the best but not horrible? Either way man did NetEase absolutely crush this game in every way.

New collectible! Young bloods may not be familiar with Janemba from Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn but it was one of my favorite movies from the olden days. Saw this at a good price and used the final part of my belated Xmas budget for it ☺️🤘

What’s your favorite Sonic game? As I’m stating up Sonic Frontiers it got me thinking about that. I know Sonic Generations and Sonic 3 rush to my mind as some of the best we’ve seen.

Do other gamers around here keep track of how many games they beat each year? This year I beat 30. Spent a small bit more time on PlayStation than Xbox this year but did enjoy various games across both!

30th Game Completion of 2024: FF7 Rebirth A lot of it was bogged down by repetitive region activities and mini games. But when it focused on key story beats and epic battles it was among the best experiences of this generation. The last 2 chapters in particular were GOD TIER.

Went to the theater and saw Sonic the Hedgehog 3 today. This picture says more than words ever could 🙏

It’s been a minute since I posted about FF7 Rebirth. On chapter 12 and I’m pretty ready for this game to end 😂 don’t get me wrong it’s a good game but it would have benefited from some trimming and design changes (and the constant party shake ups lol). Sonic Frontiers next?

Apparently they added a Xmas level to GotY Astro Bot?!?! Hell yes! Another adorable reason to dive back into this one 💙

Where are my Elden Ring fans at? I get my Xmas gift early with my own Dark Moon Greatsword! It is steel. It is a nice weight. And it’s a pretty good size too (that’s what she said). Anyways just wanted to share this happy little moment :)

Elden Ring has just outsold the entire Dark Souls trilogy 😳 (28m to 27m) What an accomplishment for From Software 👏 I can’t deny that Elden Ring is one of the best gaming experiences of my entire life and arguably the greatest video game ever made. Well deserved success 🎉
